Syn: Aussie girls chase best finish

Australia's synchronised swimming team will be chasing their best finish at an Olympics today.

The eight-strong outfit is placed seventh of the eight teams heading into today's free
routine at the Water Cube on 40.417 points just ahead of bottom-placed Egypt (39.750)
in Beijing.

Australia has only once had a team in the sport at an Olympics .. that was back in
2000 and it finished last out of eight nations.
