NSW: Miner trapped by foot in Cessnock
SYDNEY, Aug 5 AAP - A man was trapped in an underground mine in the NSW Hunter Valley,emergency authorities said today.
The NRMA CareFlight helicopter and a specialist medical crew had been due to arriveat the Cessnock mine about noon (AEST).
It's believed the man was trapped by the foot in a mine underground, an NRMA CareFlightspokesman said.
Emergency personnel said they expected it would take about half-an-hour to free theman and bring him to the surface.
